Then repeat as many times until clean, air free fluid flows. Then the person in the car can release pressure on the pedal. At that point you open the valve and close it once fluid flow stops. To do this properly your assistant lightly pumps the pedal three times then holds firm pressure. If you have an assistant can pressure bleed by having them pump up the brakes and you open the bleeder valve. To do so you simply open all the bleeders and wait for fluid to run out with no air bubbles. You can also bleed brakes by way of gravity. There is also a hand vacuum pump that works well too but takes a little more time. The method I prefer is to use a air powered vacuum pump. So I’m going to go over some of the ways it can be done.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me how to bleed their brakes. ford e250 super duty check engine light misfire p0305 p0306 runs bad poor performance Swapped in a new Y pipe cat assembly and all is good. With the engine under load it had 25 psi of back pressure. And sure enough, the bank 2 catalytic converter is plugged. After thinking about it for a while I decided to do a back pressure test on the bank 2 cat. Now bank 2 stood out at -18% long term and -12% on the sort term. The numbers were bank 1 long term -4% short term -1%. What I noticed was that the fuel trims (both LT and ST) on bank 2 were taking away fuel and bank 1 was fairly normal. With the scanner hooked up I went for a test drive. So once I got the van I thought there had to be something over looked.
The previous shop had installed a new mass air flow sensor, new plugs, new coil boots, new injectors and coils on cylinders 5 and 6.
The engine codes were p0305 misfire cylinder 5 and p0306 misfire cylinder 6. Had a Ford E250 van with a 5.4L in the other day from another shop with a check engine light and poor performance.
